Miami Heat vs Indiana Pacers is scheduled to take place in the NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals Game 4 on Tuesday night, with the Pacers now needing to respond to their Game 3 loss with a home win. In Game 3 the Pacers returned home hopeful that they could not turn the screw on the Heat after pushing them all the way in Miami and coming away from their double-header there with the series level at 1-1.
After their 97-93 victory in Game 2, the Pacers were looking to return home and maintain the pressure on Miami. However, the Heat were the ones to come away with a big 18 point win, gaining victory by 114-96.
The Heat will now believe momentum has switched back their way and if they can just claim another win tonight then they will have one foot in the NBA Championship Game.
Meanwhile, the Pacers will know nothing less than a victory tonight will do. If they lose they will be on the brink at 3-1 down, and will have to win three straight games to turn the series around and claim the Eastern Conference title. Although not many teams have the ability to manage three straight wins against the Heat, the Pacers are undoubtedly one of the few teams capable of that. However, even Indiana would not be confident of being able to pull that off. It would only take LeBron James to put on one big game and their dreams would be over.
Going back on the road to face Miami at 3-1 down is simply not an option for Indiana, meaning they just have to win tonight if they stand any realistic chance of claiming the conference title.
